- Your areas of special interest/expertise in English: Children's literature, Romanticism, British Literature, American Literature until 1886
- A few things you’d like the rest of the class to know about you: I am extremely passionate about teaching English especially with high school grades. I hope to have a job teaching back in Northeast Georgia. I'm excited to meet everyone and look forward to learning as much as we can!

things you’d like the rest of the class to know about you: I live right outside
of Columbus, GA. I went to Georgia Southwestern State University to earn my
B.A. I am married and have two dogs. Although I have one year under my belt, I
still feel new to teaching. I am very excited about this class and the new
ideas and methods I can learn for my career.

spring: I am currently the Intervention
Specialist with a focus on reading. I teach 3 reading intervention
classes,1 writing intervention class (Juniors taking the GHSWT) and 2 10th
grade literature classes

· Your areas of special interest/expertise in English: My special interests are vast-I love Gothic Lit
(Classic and Southern) and British Literature (Medieval and Victorian) is my
favorite to read.
· What you’d like us to know: I love reading and am a
self-proclaimed Author Stalker. I love visiting indie bookstores and meeting my
favorite authors to hear them talk about their books and writing. I have
"met" my favorite author, Joshilyn Jackson 3-4 times! I have 2
great (grown) kids and 2 delightful granddaughters.

A few things you’d like the rest of the class to know about you: I am a wife, the mother of a son and a daughter as well as a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law. I am also the grandmother to two precious grandchildren. I graduated this past May with a BA in New Media and Communication.

- Your areas of special interest/expertise in English: I really enjoy British literature and would like to learn more about it. I also really enjoy discussing poetry and reading young adult literature.
- A few things you’d like the rest of the class to know about you: I love being outside on a pretty day and my most recent favorite book is The Blood Gospel.

What grades/courses you will be teaching in the spring: I have taught 9th, 10th, and 12th grades, but this year will be only 9th and 10th English.
Number of months or years you’ve taught: I have taught for 9 years all in the Houston County system.
Your areas of special interest/expertise in English:
A few things you’d like the rest of the class to know about you: I am originally from Iowa, but have been gone for many years.I love Georgia and don't think my husband of 20 years and I could have found a better place to raise our three kids.

- Number of months or years you’ve taught: I've only been student teaching so far
- Your areas of special interest/expertise in English: literature, writing, and public speaking (my undergrad degree is in Rhetoric)
- A few things you’d like the rest of the class to know about you: I got my BA in Rhetoric from Georgia College and State University; I love reading and writing; I work in retail, student teach full time and I'm in the one year MAT program; I live on coffee; I come from a family of educators (both parents were/are teachers and administrators and a sister-in-law that teaches high school ELA) and my dream is to be a published author one day.
